Construction work on the new outdoor seating area is now underway by the Groundwork landscaping team and is due to be finished before the end of the month.
The expressions of interest for the café remain open and the tender opportunity to find a suitable supplier to manage the café will begin in December.
Rochdale Borough Council will be working towards moving veterans in to the house at a future date.
